Beef and Broccoli Stir Fry with Jasmine Rice

Ingredients

1 pouch of Grain Trust Organic Jasmine Rice

10 oz. lean flank steak, thinly sliced

1 tbsp olive oil

2 cloves garlic

1 tsp ginger, minced

3 cups broccoli florets

4 tbsp tangy stir fry sauce

salt

pepper

sesame seeds

Directions

1Marinate the beef: In a medium bowl, add the beef slices to stirfry sauce and stir until coated. Set aside for 10 minutes. This marinade will serve as cooking sauce as well.

2Blanch the broccoli: (skip if not blanching) In a large non-stick pan, bring the water to a boil. Add the broccoli florets and cook for about 30 seconds. Drain and immediately rinse with cold water to stop the cooking process. Set aside.

3Prepare the rice: Cook the Grain Trust Jasmine Rice according to the packet instructions.

4Meanwhile, heat up olive oil using the same non-stick pan you used for your broccoli. Quickly add the beef to the pan and spread the pieces out to a single layer allowing them to sear and brown in the stir-fry sauce. Add the garlic and ginger and continue cooking until the meat is no longer pink. Quickly stir in the the broccoli and toss everything together to coat well. Salt and pepper to taste.

5Sprinkle with sesame seeds/sesame seed seasoning mix. Serve hot over the jasmine rice. More stir-fry sauce can also be added to taste.
