Tangerine Almond Rice w/ Seared Pork Chop

Ingredients

1 quart Padma's Easy Exotic Organic Thai Jasmine Rice

8 oz. Canned tangerines (cut in half), save the juice

1/2 tsp Grated ginger

1 cup Sliced almonds

1/2 tsp Minced garlic

1 tbsp Chopped cilantro

2 Pork Chops(4 oz each butterflied)

1 tsp Olive oil

Salt and pepper to taste

1 Sautepan

1 Mixing bowl

1 boiler-safe skillet

Directions

1Preheat oven on 375F.

2Heat the broiler-safe skillet on high heat and sear pork on both sides.

3Cook rice in microwave for 3 minutes.

4Set pork in the oven.

5Combine tangerines, cilantro, ginger, and 1 tablespoon of juice in a mixing bowl.

6In another pan, saute 1/2 of the tangerine mix and add 1/2 the almonds as well as all the rice on medium heat.

7Place rice mixture on one side of the dish.

8Remove pork from the oven and set alongside of rice. Season with salt and pepper to taste.

9Add almonds to leftover tangerine mix and set on top of pork.

10Serve and enjoy!
